Developing Tact
I believe it is important to communicate with sensitivity because everyone is different and it has many benefits.
Not everyone has the ability to tell the truth in a way that considers other people's feelings and reactions.
Being tactful allows you to give difficult feedback, communicate sensitive information, and say the right thing to preserve a relationship.
I always try to encourage my team to develop tact as it encompasses thoughtfulness, compassion, subtlety, honesty, diplomacy, discretion, self-awareness and courtesy. It is vital in negotiations and when resolving conflicts.
